Dr Lai Wen Shen graduated with an MBBS from the National University of Singapore’s Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. He was later part of the National University Health System (NUHS) Family Medicine Residency programme where he spent three years deepening his knowledge across various fields and developing a holistic understanding and practice of medicine.
With his amiable and jovial personality, Dr Lai Wen Shen approaches his patients with a sense of passion and enthusiasm. He takes time and effort to understand his patients’ needs, ensuring that every step is meticulously thought through and applied.
Dr Lai’s experiences span a comprehensive range from General Surgery, Orthopaedics Surgery, Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Internal Medicine, Paediatric Medicine, to both Adult’s and Children’s Emergency.
Through his practice across various disciplines, he developed a keen interest in aesthetic and primary care medicine. His pursuit of aesthetic medicine stems from a profound sense of fulfilment when he applies his skills and knowledge to help his patients achieve a sense of confidence and wellness.
Medical aesthetics became a natural progression and he decided to join Dr YZ Tan and his team at Mizu to further a shared vision of helping patients attain their goals with minimally invasive procedures to achieve maximal results.
During his free time, Dr Lai enjoys spending time with his family and playful cavapoo puppy, Toki. Quite the sportsman himself, he was part of his varsity’s volleyball and basketball team, and continues to maintain an active lifestyle by playing squash and hitting the gym regularly.
A lesser known fact about Dr Lai – he has not visited a barber in five years. Instead, he styles his own hair with a shaving and scissors kit. Rather an artist with his hands indeed!
